Steve Reich is the name given to the short instrumental portion after the version of Alumni Blues that appears on the album The White Tape. Made with marimbas, sound effects and crickets chirping, this song shares a name with the composer Steve Reich. A track called "Steve Reich" also appeared on a compilation made by Mike in 1985 called "Deep From Within the Weird Beard". Sadly, this recording does not circulate.
